How it works
Premix · Postmix · Formats

Soda systems,

in plain English.

Not sure what your space needs to pour soda, juice or energy? Here’s the short version — the formats we deliver and the equipment behind them. When you’re ready, we’ll spec the right setup for you.

§ A — Two ways to pour

Postmix vs. premix.

01System

Postmix

Mixes at the dispenser.

The workhorse of fountains and bar guns. Concentrate ships in a bag-in-box; at the point of dispense it's mixed with carbonated water at roughly 1 part syrup to 5 parts water. One 3-gallon box yields about 18 gallons of finished drink.

What it needs
  • Bag-in-box concentrate
  • Carbonator + CO₂
  • Water & drain
  • Cold plate or ice bin
  • Power

Best for: Restaurants, bars, cafeterias — anywhere with steady volume and a water line.

02System

Premix

Ready to pour, fully portable.

Soda water and flavor are premixed and sealed into a canister or keg. All it needs is a CO₂ canister to push it — no carbonator, no water line, no power. Perfect where you can't (or don't want to) plumb a full system.

What it needs
  • Premix keg / canister
  • CO₂ to push
  • A tap or line
  • No water or power

Best for: Wall-tap systems, events, catering, and high-tap bars wanting a couple of soda options.

§ B — The formats

How the productshows up.

  • 01

    Bag-in-box

5-gallon (and 3-gallon) corrugated boxes of concentrate for postmix fountains and bar guns. The everyday format.

  • 02

    Cartridge

Sealed cartridges for machines that take them — single-serve and specialty dispensers.

  • 03

    Frozen

Frozen juice and OJ concentrates for breakfast bars and juice dispensers.

  • 04

    Premix keg

Pre-carbonated, ready-to-pour kegs for wall taps, events and catering — CO₂ only.

  • 05

    Ready to Drink

Bottled and canned RTD — no system, no setup. Grab-and-go for coolers and breakrooms.

§ C — What a setup needs

The building blocksof a system.

01

A cold source

Either an ice bin with a cold plate (for a bar gun) or a fountain machine with a built-in cold plate. Cold drink starts here.

02

CO₂

Carbon dioxide carbonates the water (postmix) or pushes the product out of the keg (premix). We supply CO₂ and beer gas.

03

A carbonator

Postmix only — combines CO₂ and water into soda water on demand. Premix systems skip this entirely.

04

Water & power

Postmix systems need a water line, a drain and power. Premix needs neither — which is why it travels.

Don’t worry about getting this right yourself — tell us your space and volume and we’ll spec the system, install it, and keep it running. For qualifying accounts, that’s free.

§ D — The equipment

What pours itat the counter.

  • 01

    Bar guns

    8, 10, 12 or 14-button heads · standard 36" (XL available)

The iconic bar dispenser. One gun, many flavors, on a flexible hose. Needs water, power, CO₂, BIBs and a chiller (ice or mechanical).

  • 02

    Fountain machines

    4 to 12 post-mix taps · stand-alone, drop-in, or fountain + ice combo

Counter fountains for self-serve and crew use. Same requirements as a bar gun — water, power, CO₂, BIBs and a chiller.

  • 03

    Juice dispensers

    4-flavor stand-alone · 3 × 1-gallon cartridges per case

Chilled juice on the breakfast bar or line, fed by cartridge concentrate.

  • 04

    Coffee dispensers

    2-flavor Bunn machine · 6 × 2-lb bags per case

Fresh Javo coffee concentrate, regular and decaf, ready by the cup.

  • 05

    Premix dispensers

    5-gallon keg · CO₂ only

Finished product in a stainless keg. No water or power — just CO₂. The portable option for events, pop-ups and tap walls.

A note on boxes: we run mostly 3-gallon bag-in-box for weight safety and space — two 3-gallon boxes fit where one 5-gallon does. Most systems use standard FBD/Pepsi or Multiplex/Coke connectors, plus quick-connect lines for generic syrups.
